Burn Out
The mold is placed in a kiln for 72 hours at 800 degrees
Fahrenheit. The mold is inverted to allow melted wax to run
out. The purpose of the burnout to remove all carbon based
compounds in the mold. At the end of 72 hours the wax
model and sprue should be completely burnt out.
The mold is removed from the kiln while still hot. The
bronze is poured immediately into the mold.
